Community Support Workers
Community Support Workers (CSW) work hands-on with adults with diverse abilities. The focus of this position is to support individuals to achieve a full and meaningful life in as many aspects as they so choose. CSW’s may take individuals to community events, volunteering opportunities, or assist with tasks such as grocery shopping or running errands. A personal vehicle and additional insurance is required.
Group Home Residence Worker
Employees in group home facilities work hands-on with adults with diverse abilities. They assist people in all aspects of daily living and enhance their quality of life by promoting community inclusion, independence in daily life skills, and access existing community-based recreational and community resources. We have two small group home facilities, each requiring attentive staff around the clock. A First Aid certificate, Restricted Class 4 Drivers Licence, and experience are vital pre-requisites for this position.
Looking to volunteer with Kamloops Association for Community Inclusion? We always need volunteers for our Simply The Best Thrift Store! We can support you to build skills in all areas. Job duties can include, but are not limited to, running a cash register, sorting clothing, organizing and cleaning and learning about collectibles. This fun and fast paced environment is a great way to connect, get involved and give back to your community.
