Employment Services
Employment Services at KSCI empower individuals with developmental disabilities to pursue meaningful, paid employment as a pathway to inclusion, confidence, and community connection.
Employment Services
Our services reflect KSCI’s Theory of Change and philosophy by supporting people to lead happy lives as important members of their communities—on their own terms.
We believe work fosters purpose, identity, and belonging. Our approach is strengths-based, relationship-centered, and grounded in self-determination. Individuals identify the kind of work they are interested in, and our Employment Services team—including a dedicated Job Developer—works alongside them to explore opportunities and build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
Employment services include:
- Discovery of individual skills, interests, and employment goals
- Job development, including customized placements and job carving
- One-to-one support through the application, interview, and onboarding process
- Real-time, on-the-job coaching and follow-up
- Ongoing communication and collaboration with employers, individuals, and families
- Transition planning when job roles or responsibilities change
