Dear KSCI Community,
As we come to the close of 2025, I’ve been reflecting on what it really means to be in community with one another. For KSCI, that has always meant walking alongside people with respect, listening closely to what matters to them, and working together to build lives that feel meaningful, connected, and truly their own.
This kind of community does not happen by accident. It becomes real because of the care, trust, and commitment that each of you brings—whether you are receiving support, offering support, working alongside us, or standing with us in the broader community. Together, we are creating spaces where people are seen, heard, and able to shape what a good life means for themselves.
KSCI’s work has always been about more than programs or services. At its core, it is about walking alongside people as they define their own goals, hopes, and priorities, and then doing our part to remove barriers, build connections, and open up possibilities. This year, even with many pressures on families, staff, and our wider community, I have seen so many examples of people choosing to show up for one another with patience, courage, and generosity.
As we move into the holiday season, my hope is that you find moments of rest, connection, and genuine joy—whether that looks like gathering with others, quiet time at home, or simple routines that bring comfort. Thank you for the part you play in making KSCI what it is.
On behalf of all of us at KSCI, I wish you a peaceful holiday season and a new year filled with possibility.
